Communication and Interaction AAC Games. This page collates all the games and resources I have made/found to enhance the communication opportunities for all students but specially designed for AAC (Augmentative and alternative communication) users. This may be PECS (Picture exchange communication system) or Context specific boards for those. The second section is a listing of switch accessible Apps which are primarily designed for AAC. The only App which is in both sections is Scene&Heard. Although Scene&Heard is designed primarily as an AAC App, we are both using it for a range of educational reasons and have therefore added it to both lists. Switch Accessible Apps (non-AAC). Adaptive switches allow the physically challenged and special needs user to activate assistive technology devices in their environment. What appears as simple as a button, the proper switch will open up worlds of access to communication devices, environmental controls, computer software and mobile devices.
